Dr. S.M.S Pillai is a Specialist Physician with more than 35 years of experience in the field of Dermatology and Venereology.
He graduated from the prestigious Trivandrum Medical College in 1979. He completed his Diploma in Venereology from Madras University in 1982 and post-graduate residency in Dermatology in 1987 from Trivandrum Medical College.
He is a Fellow of American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD) since 2000 and is a Life Member of Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology. He established his Dermatology practice in Dubai, and has been associated with several leading clinics and medical centres in Dubai since then.
He has vast experience in treating patients with all types of skin ailments such as acne, pigmentation disorders, skin tags, eczema, fungal, viral & bacterial skin infections, hair loss (alopecia), diseases of the nails, herpes, hives (urticaria), pre-cancerous skin growths (actinic keratoses), psoriasis, rosacea and warts.
He keeps himself abreast with the most recent advances in the field of Dermatology by regularly attending CME’s, Seminars and Conferences. He performs a wide range of cosmetic and therapeutic dermatological procedures on an out-patient basis.
