Dr. Karunakara Marikinti is an Indian native who received his education in the holy city of Tirupati, India. He then attended India’s top medical school, the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, where he completed a six-year intensive study program and earned two specialty degrees. He has been working and holding a license in the UK since 1992. He spent six years each at Leeds University (Yorkshire), Kent, and Canterbury before relocating to Cambridge in 2001. He is also an ISUOG international faculty.
He started performing IVF procedures at the world’s first IVF facility in Cambridgeshire twenty years ago (along with Nobel Prize-winning IVF inventor Professor Robert Edwards), and he has been working with Care Fertility UK, the most cutting-edge fertility centre for IVF failure and reproductive immunology since 2010.
He holds degrees in ultrasound from the Royal College of Radiologists, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and King’s College in London. He is also a fellow of the RCOG and has a master’s degree in human reproduction from Valencia University in Spain. He has a Fellowship in Recurrent Miscarriage from St. Mary’s Hospital, London.
