Ms. Divya V Salian

Ms. Divya obtained her M.Phil. from The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences(NIMHANS) in 2013. She completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology (MSc) in 2010 from Kuvempu University in Shimoga, India, with top honours.

She has considerable expertise working with mental health issues of children, adolescents, and adults. Her patients come from diverse cultural backgrounds and present with a variety of complaints and disorders.

She spent six months working as a psychologist in the psychiatry department of Father Muller’s Charitable Institute in Mangalore. She completed a two-month Internship at the All-India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysore. She had the privilege to work as a trainee in Manasa Hospital Shimoga for 2 years as part of her M.Sc. course.

She is academically oriented and conducted research on “Attachment Relations: The Child’s Perspective,” which focuses on how children perceive the people they are attached to. In addition, there was “A Study on the Cognitive Profile of Children with and Without Mathematical Problems in Selected Schools of Shimoga.”
