Possessing an MBBS degree from Medical College Thiruvananthapuram, University of Kerala in 2004, and then a Post-Graduation in Child Health from Madurai Medical College, Dr MGR University of Tamil Nadu, completed in 2010. Dr Ashla Thomas has also been a member of the Royal College of Physicians Child Health (MRCPCH) in the United Kingdom since 2015.
